Our Story
For over 75 years, the Maylath Family has been farming the Sugarloaf Valley located in lower Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Getting our start in dairy and produce, the goal has always been to provide quality natural products to our customers.
In the summer of 2023, the dream of Dad's original and simple tea recipe was created. Founded on principles of the old farm families who were committed to homegrown roots and product quality, Old Farmer Tea Company was established.
Old Farmer Tea Company promotes American farm and ranch families, and uses high-quality, pure mountain spring water, a simple brewing process, and lower calorie natural sugars. Because farm land and water are our most precious resources, Old Farmer Tea is packaged in aluminum recyclable cans. Our teas are pasteurized and preservative free.
Maylath Farms is family-owned and operated for generations and nestled in the heart of Luzerne County in Sugarloaf Twp., Pennsylvania.
A staple for Mark growing up on his Family's Farm was a locally manufactured iced tea.
When that ended, Mark saw an opportunity to produce iced tea again that was reminiscent of his childhood years.
Following his family's goals and values Mark recreated Dad's original iced tea recipe which prioritizes natural, wholesome ingredients in a homestyle taste.
Mark wants Northeast Pennsylvania and beyond to enjoy his family's iced tea the way it was meant to be - simply and brewed with love.
Old Farmer Tea is manufactured in Northeastern Pennsylvania and utilizes local vendors to produce its products.
